Yet after 17 years with UNICEF, in 2019 my partner and I decided it was time to move back home to Australia and on to new challenges, opportunities and adventures. On a career level, it will serve as a vehicle for promoting the services I provide as an international adviser and consultant on child protection. USA, including mobilizing US$ 9.1 m from DFID for child protection systems strengthening. Girls and child protection. Girls and boys experience horrendous levels of abuse, but the evidence shows us that the situations for girls is even worse due to gender inequality. This means that greater attention, thinking and resources are required to prevent and respond to child protection violations against girls. This needs to happen as part of knowledge generation and analysis, programme design and review and capacity building of the child protection sector.
